Despite All The Odds

Off the road,
Behind the trees,
By the cool river,
Stood a lost little girl.

In a cave,
Near a roaring fire,
Out of the bitterness of winter,
Across the cool snow covered river.

Inside she stayed,
With warmth of the fire,
Beyond the bitter coldness,
Into the deep forest.

Until some one found her she stayed,
From the village came, "She wouldn't make it!"
Before they ever knew,
After spring came she left.

Before her stood a cave,
With in it had the fire remains,
Among the towns people cheering,
She made it, Despite All The Odds, she lived.
